You try to adapt to a normal life, but it doesn't always work. On the left is Mikki Persson, Swedish photographer. The foto was shot by Jon Jones, from Leeds but born in Uganda. We were unwinding in Trogir after spending most of the summer of '93 in central Bosnia. On the drive back into Split somebody noticed that Mikki was missing from the Nissan...but he soon appeared sliding down the windshield. He had crawled out the back window at 75 kph and made his way forward on the roof.
