I like the ancient Indian names for the volcanoes and other geographic points as well. More poetic. I stood on top of this mountain and looked down at Portland off in the distance. A major event in my life. Portland looked like Oz. If you live in Portland and haven't climbed this mountain, I suggest you get organized and climb it. Don't forget the personal locater beacon and a good GPS.
