This is the only image of my father's which is scanned from a negative. So far, that is. I found a strip of five 35mm images and scanned each. The film is not in great shape. But from the other images I can see that American soldiers are gathering bodies from what appears to be farmland with sand dunes. Some of the bodies appear to be civilians rather than German soldiers. None are American soldiers. It's interesting that this German's boots are missing. Actually, all of the dead in my dad's pictures are missing footwear.
