The vegetation around Kincaid Park is so lush that is supports a lot of moose. Many of those moose like to use the bike path to access lunch. A cyclist can be screaming down the hill and suddenly there in front of him a bull moose is taking up the whole path. All the cyclist can do is head for the bushes. Once I was waiting for a bull to clear off the path and an impatient guy on a bike decided he could sneak around the moose. The moose very casually, without any sort of apparent excitement, hooked the rider in the ribs and sent him flying. It was more of a lesson to the cyclist than anything else. The moose was saying "respect my space, dude." The bike rider was OK.
