Katie is a seventh grader at Kotzebue Middle High School. Her father is Ed Iten, who finished ninth in the 2003 Iditarod. Katie enjoys mushing and helps train her dad's dogs. In the photo she is on her way to third place in the Junior 8-dog championships in Kotzebue.
