Sarah Winchester believed in the advice of mediums. The number thirteen held special significance
for her. Many places in the Winchester Mansion bear this out. One room has thirteen windows. Those thirteen include; four panes with six Tiffany panes above them, two diamond shaped windows in the staircase that leads to the room and one more (the thirteenth) in an interior wall of the room.
