After disappointing weather in Southern California, it is good to be
home. This parking lot four floors above Cannery Row in Monterey offers
a great view that spans from the Carmel Highlands all the way across the
bay to Santa Cruz - if the skies are clear enough. And today they were.
Of course, my entire day didn't go quite as smoothly as this afternoon
went. Returning from a business trip always means spending the morning
digging through email and phone messages & just getting back up to speed
in general. It was difficult to even find time to brew that first pot of
coffee. Hell, in the spirit of self portrait Friday, I'll even let you see what
I look like in the morning pre-caffeinated.
