20041225 / Winter Wonderland?

Ludington Park / Escanaba, MI

17 Degrees below zero in Escanaba @ Ludington Park.
Sometimes when people tell me they want it to snow
'just on Christmas'...I want to smack them.

Oh, Merry Christmas. :)

Up on blocks, ready to put out any fires the frigid
cold didn't absolutely suck the oxygen out of.

Is there anywhere colder on earth than Escanaba??

This is a wonderful scene, Chris. And I'll bet it didn't take you hlf an hour to 'see' it :)

Merry Christmas!

Beautiful, stark photo. I can feel the cold and wind ... and it's making me very glad I'm here where it's not below zero and I can still see the grass. Both this and the boat shot are excellent.

What is that white-stuff in that picture? Oh yes that is right..its snow! I really like the slight edge treatment on the image which appears like a frame. The lone tree with no leaves, only emphasis the bitter cold weather. This does look like Winter Wonderland. Very nice, Chris.

Brrr! This will really make me appreciate going out in 65 degree weather today...

It looks bloddy cold, Chris! This scene looks pretty desolate!
I agree with your snow comment ... it's nice for Christmas, but then it can disappear - it's not fun to have to live with!

That's what I'm talking about! SNOW.. i have my fill each year about the second week of it. Really great pic, Chris. The lonely, cold tree.. in the horrid cold of winter..
Yikes. that tree is me!
