I am trying to picture that seal to flop after you and it makes me laugh. I suppose that too would be a real good shot.

6 or 8 feet. I had no intention of touching him. I was just glad he stayed asleep. Also, I had plenty of beach behind me to get a running start if he suddenly woke up and started flopping after me.

The two seal shots make me smile. How close did you get or did you get this using a tight shot? The Sony lens has an excellent range. I'd have a hard time not touching the seal if I was actually that close. :)
