02-AUG-2006

2nd August

his Royal-ness, The Duke of Rothesay aka Prince Charles.
he made a flying visit to Rothesay,
flying in by helicopter and spending a short while at the Cattle Show in the park
before coming down to the Castle where i was waiting ;-)
and he didn't really spend long in there before setting off back up the road again to catch his copter!

The security was a bit of a farce,
we had LOADS of cops all standing around in various places plus the MI5 agents
who while Charles was in the Castle were standing in their set positions outside
when a young boy(about 8 or 9) rode right past them all on his bike!
none of them even noticed until he had gone past them! heheh
(he got told off though afterwards and was asked to get off his bike...)

************ MORE PICS HERE! ************

in other news, the Pug's broken down, it's sitting in the garage.

52mm, eh? They really let you get pretty close. I'm surprised at this. Great shot Zak.

Great shot, nice knees.
Stu02-Aug-2006 20:13
Did you ask him if you could be his official photographer?
Coleen Perilloux Landry02-Aug-2006 19:51
I see that his code of the day was a Batchelor Button in his lapel. When he was in New Orleans it was a red poppy.
Coleen Perilloux Landry02-Aug-2006 19:05
You got an excellent photo, Zak.
Bob Foisel02-Aug-2006 18:45

Johnny JAG02-Aug-2006 18:13
Glad you explained it, I was just thinking "who's the bloke in the skirt posing for Zak?"
Robin Reid02-Aug-2006 17:47
You know I feel sorry for him. He's almost into his sixties and has never had a job and has to wait on Mum to do her thing. I'm glad he gets out into the Country to support local doings.
Robin Reid02-Aug-2006 17:42
What a prize photo to have. Well done.
Tricia02-Aug-2006 17:12
