Nice and sunny,
headed down by Loch Fad and into the grounds of Woodend House
(although i didn't go as far as the house, not sure if there's currently anyone living there or not!)
These are just derelict cottages in the grounds,
the big house itself use to be the home of 19th century Shakespearean actor Edmund Kean...(Read Here)

As a boy I used to play in the ground of Woodend. I was friendly with the Factor's son when he lived in the house. There was a carriage in the stables at the time. Great fun in those days and even had a ride on their horse 'Wilfred'. Used to go out onto the loch in the only boat allowed on the water.

How neat is that..... I have on my tree Malcom McIntyre married Catherine Campbell on 1st Dec 1863, when Woodend was still a cottage. Looks like Donald Cameron, Minister of ?? (can't read)Church on the cerificate.
Had an email recently from a gent who lived there recently when it was run as a B&B
