re: Coleen. That's not so much a tide as a brisk northeasterly wind. We have quite small tides, 3-4metres. Some parts of south-west UK have 12-13metre tides which would have most of downtown Rothesay under 20ft of water. Some folk might think that would be a great idea, but not me!
