I'm going for the metal version of "track" as used by our farming communities when they need to send grain or wool by rail. This track is in the tiny town of Karoonda. I saw patches of gazania lining parts of the track as we drove south and crossed the line - but when we stopped in the township for a break from driving I had to be content with blades of grass, very welcome in an arid landscape! Note the lack of sleepers, we think they have been buried under sand from the dust storms which ravage the area from time to time.
Other "tracks" found here http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?t=31552
