The deep reds....

This is an old tea rose called Francis Dubrieul or Barcelona. Its a small rose compared to 'Violina' but its just as fragrant and it blooms from late winter and you don't really need to prune it.

Here's a little native flower hidden
amongst the lush foliage of a copse of shrubs
Unfortunately the birds love the shrubs and spread
the seed and you end up with lots of new ones
popping up here, there and everywhere.
