Ancient glass paperweight

Given to me by my long gone Great-aunt. The
paperweight could be 100 years of age.
What amazed me was the macro-image showed up
scratches not noticeable with the naked eye!

The paperweight belongs in my music room
and here's an open page from one of my
music textbooks.

and a SPIT cake from yesterday's 5th birthday of
our youngest grandchild.

Nice pic, Yvonne! Isn't it amazing what the macro lens picks up? We have a couple of these millefiori paper weights that we saw being made in Perth, Scotland. You have inspired me to have a go at capturing this subject.

Pretty paperweight, isn't that glass called mille fuille or something like that?

very pretty paperweight, looks a bit like Caithness glass to me!
