About 15 years ago, when I first moved up to this part of Oregon, I had a friend named Petra. Petra was Dutch. She had a fabulous yard filled with bulbs and especially her beautiful tulips. She would always invite me in for a cup of tea and her homemade cookies. we would sit in her kitchen and look out on her tulips.

She and her husband retired and became "nomads" in their RV. Happy trails Petra. I still think of her when I see a mass of bulbs.
