Hawaii is beautiful. Hawaii is nature. Hawaii is a family vacation, a historic tour, a raging volcano, a swaying Polynesian dancer, a romantic getaway. Hawaii is remote. The fierce Pacific laps up Hawaii as if it were its own, it caresses as it as if it is her secret lover, it crashes against it trying to calm the volcano, and all the time it nourishes it bringing with it bountiful life. Hawaii is the 50th U.S. state but is farther from American culture and civilization than any other.
Hawaii is one of the most isolated, populated islands in the world sitting in the Northeast corner of the Polynesian triangle, and miles away from the coasts of US or Japan. It stretches for 1500 miles, and if measured from its eastern most to its western most point it is wider than any US state. Hawaii can be many things but most importantly it must be on your list of places to see.
