ROMAN ROCKET - TRIBUTE



AKA - Romy, Romy Noodles.

I knew he was special the moment I met him, and I knew someday he would have to leave ...


Roman Rocket came to me as a gift. He has been the most wonderful companion I have ever had, and the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me in my life. He's been with me through good times, hard times and bad. He's travelled with me from New Mexico to Arizona, from California to Texas to Missouri and Illinois, to West Virginia, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee and all points in between. At times, he was the only thing that kept me going. He's never asked for anything more than love and care. He's given me everything he had. I will always remember him, always miss him, and always love him. I hope and pray that if there is something more than this mortal coil, that if there is a great beyond, that he is there awaiting me. For if not, then I do not wish to be there.

Roman passed away today in my arms due to cancer, August 7th, 2007 at 10:30AM. God bless you, Roman. And keep you well. Go kennel, Roman. Go kennel. Good boy, Roman. Good boy.

just stumbled on this whilst looking for a recipie. funny thing the internet! use to have a lurcher and loved that dog to bits. roman looks like he he had a lot of character and knew more than the average dog. respect to roman and the bond between man and dog

I am still wiping the tears from my eyes. I think this is a wonderful tribute to your "Special Companion". I just lost my baby girl 8 days ago and I am an incomplete shell. Thank-you for the depth in which you are sharing Roman's beautiful life. Dawn

I just stumbled upon this glowing tribute to Roman. I have four greyhounds and, as yet, have not had to bid farewell to any of them but having had that experience with 3 other wonderful dogs, I know how gutted you must have been. Rest assured that Roman WILL be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. I know he's hoping that you've taken another (or more?) of his pals into your heart.

Deep sympathy for your loss, Roman looked like he had a fantastic life. I own two retired greyhounds and your tribute brought home to me how devastated I would be if I lost them.

Thank you for posting your pictures of your beloved pet. It's lovely to know there are people who do love and care very much for greyhounds. This fella looked lovely, a real pet and pal to have around. I'm sure you'll miss him very much. Remember the good times.

What a lovely tribute to a wonderful friend. I also lost my Maddi to Cancer, a week after her 10th Birthday. You have all these lovely memories to keep of Roman, and he will remember all the love you gave him as well.Run free dear Roman

What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful hound. I too have lost a grey to cancer. Sam was with me for just over 4 years and died just before he turned 9. RIP Roman

it is so un fair when they are taken by cancer it must have been very devastating to you having the greatest breed of dog die in your arms I am not looking forward to this day in the future when it is time for my hounds to cross the bridge

Roman was a great dog! I don't recall another dog with such calm poise & character.

I am so sorry for your loss. It never gets easier and we never forget them. Those who have not loved a dog have never known what true unconditional love is. They never judge us, they always forgive us, they never hold a grudge and they love us more with every breath they take. If only humans could have that capability. Sincerely, Carol

Wes, thank you for looking at my greyhound galleries. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved boy. It's so hard - I've been through it 4 times, and although it's sad, all the good times and memories remain, and make it worth it in the end.
