Hairy Woodpecker Picoides Villosus

WY, John D Rockefeller Memorial Highway

Here the parent returns to the nest with some mealworm to quite down
one of his kids for 15 seconds whilte the others shout for more.
Bringing up kids as a bird is a tough business as they demand food
from dawn to dusk and the parents return with worm after worm in 1
minute intervals.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II N ,Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM
1/640s f/8.0 at 700.0mm iso400 with Flash full exif
