300D Digital Rebel

Shows bounced light. One light was the camera mounted flash, swiveled to my right so it bounces off the right (as I face) side panel of the foamcore box. I blocked the flash with a piece of white cardboard so no direct flash reached the subject. The 2nd was a flash sitting to my left side, but a bit in back of the (subject) camera, facing forward. It bounced off a piece of foamboard that was set up angled so the fill flash would hit the camera. So all the light was bounced at least once from foamcore board.

I don't remember the lighting ratios, but they look pretty similar. The light on the side of the lens comes from the flash that is on my camera pointed to the right and bouncing off the right side box panel. The front of the lens is lit from the 2nd flash that bounces off the foam board that is to my left, angled to point back to the (subject) camera. The light from the 2nd flash also accounts for the shadows.

The softness of the shadows shows the diffusion. The foamcore box is made from white foamcore boards I got from Wal-Mart and has a bottom, a back, the right side, and a ceiling. No front or left side. Light bouncing off the ceiling is important to maintain complete illumination. With the two light system I'm presently using and one flash being locked on the top of the camera. (But usually swiveled to my right so it bounces of the box's side panel.)

And yes, the date is wrong. I just fixed this now in the camera.
