The object in the niche is a prayer wheel which the man has just spun. The niches in the wall also contain prayer wheels. The woman at the far right is spinning each as she passes.

Very nicely composed with beautiful color, and I love that person in the distance, giving a sense of scale. Those are much larger than I would have imagined. V.

Interesting perspective into the religious life of these people...the colours in that column are very vibrant and another focus point...great capture...V
