I agree with Isabel. This is a very fine portrait, I like it a lot. Yet it has the potential to be even better with the right background complimentary color.

Very nice portrait.
I think you need a warmer color background paper. That would complement the dog;s coat color better. Actually, you could probably change it with select color and a switch.
