This baby seal, I was told, was born this morning at around 4:30, so it was about 12 hours old in this picture.
I watched it swim near the beach with the adult seal, presumably its mother, who was very protective of it.

This really shows how protective the adult is so the baby won't grt pulled out by a wave. Perfect timing to capture the wave. Voted.
