he Lyric Theatre opened in 1929, on Rush Avenue, on Courthouse Square, with a seating capacity of 409. It operated until 1977 when it closed. It would remain vacant for over two decades until 1999 when the Ozark Arts Council acquired it and began a renovation project on the theater to bring it back to its original Art Deco appearance. Renovation was completed in 2007.
