I was hoping to get back to Harper Creek, North Harper Creek, and South Harper Creek Falls for better pictures on this trip. I hadn't been to any of them with my R1 yet. My original plan was to hit North and South Harper Creek Falls since the main trail heads are both off of FR58. But when Harry and I looked at the map we came up with a new plan that would put us on the trail earlier.

We got up early Saturday morning and headed to the parking area for Harper Creek Falls Trail #260 on Brown Mountain Beach Rd. The plan was to head up to Harper Creek Falls first, then come back down to the intersection of Trail #277 and head up to South Harper Creek Falls. We got to the trail view of Harper Creek Falls (pictured here) at 8:15 and the sun was already creeping over the waterfall.
