I haven't spent nearly enough time in this beautiful area of the Pisgah National Forest north of Morganton. I had planned to camp to save drive time and gave Harry a call to see if he wanted to join me - he did. I remembered SCJack had stayed at the Mortimer Campground and had good comments, so we headed there and got the next to the last spot. There's also a waterfall in the campground that I hadn't seen - the one pictured here on Thorps Creek.
