Today I decided to check out the wildflower situation at Big Creek. I figured I was early - peak spring bloom is early to mid April. When I got to the parking area, some kayakers were unloading and getting ready for a run. I had never seen kayakers out here, so since I had my new camcorder with me I headed down creek and set up here. About 30 minutes passed by before it dawned on me that they might have dragged their boats UP creek. What an idiot! I packed up my stuff and headed up creek.
