It was just over a year ago that I first found this 30-40' waterfall north of Moore Cove Falls. The only reason I went was because SCJack had mentioned something about the Moore Cove area in the Carolinas Adventures Yahoo Group. I was looking at the Pisgah Trail Map of the area and noticed an unnamed creek that had waterfall potential. Turns out there is a maintained unmarked trail about 2 miles long that goes right to the waterfall that isn't on the map. I meant to go back when the forest greened up and after a good rain, but the drought last year put a damper on that.

It was such a beautiful day today I decided to head back and actually took notes as I went so I could add it to my web site.
