Not sure why this was named as such, but this picture shows only a small part of this drop. It's maybe 10 minutes up from the last waterfall. The river is fairly level to this point. I didn't take any pictures of this on the way up because of the sun. By the time we came back, the sun had sunk low enough so this section was mostly in the shade. The shelf is 10-15' high and would be tricky to get around in higher water. To the right of this (in the sun) is a section of big log leaning on the shelf. We walked up this to continue on up river. Most of the water flow is shown in this picture.
