We got an early start on Sunday since we had about a 2 hour drive to Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge. We were hoping for a nice sunrise along the way, but it was really cloudy when we got to Vilano Beach. I had taken a couple of so-so shots of the surf and had kneeled down to put my gear away when this immature snowy egret landed about 10 feet away.
