We wanted to just head to Cades Cove to get the camp site set up with as few stops as possible, but pulled over at this Parkway overlook for a couple of snaps. It looked better in person than it does in this picture. Our route was I-40 to Maggie Valley (which had lots of yummy peak color), up to the Parkway, then south to the end of the Parkway at Hwy 441, then north past Clingman's Dome and down to the Sugarlands Visitor's Center in the Smokies, then on to Cades Cove.
