Not too far down the west fork of the French Broad River is Cathedral Falls - aka Bird Rock Falls. Don't let the horrible photos fool you - this is a really beautiful area. The falls is only 12-15' high, but the high rock wall to the left and the river bedrock really add to the beauty.
