I hadn't really planned on going out today. It was supposed to be chore day. I did get the grass cut and a couple of other things done I had planned to do. About mid day the clouds were looking pretty good for a potentially colorful sunset and I also had a FB message from 2 flatland friends saying they were in Waynesville and to come on over if I could. So that was the end of chores. The new plan was some time with my friends, then on up to the Parkway for a sunset. Friend time was great, but I didn't take any pictures. So the first picture here is from the Parkway. I got up here around 7 and headed towards the Cowee Mountains Overlook. There were quite a few summer wildflowers in bloom and I couldn't resist pulling over for a shot or 2. I happened to spot this spider with dinner - I think it's a type of orb, but I'm not sure.
