A short distance up the trail, I stopped to shoot these Bells. The other 3 continued on, but soon returned saying the trail ended at the creek. Instead of crossing, Bernie suggested we backtrack a short distance to the old road we had passed on the left. It heads up and soon follows Howard Creek a good distance above the creek. You can see on the map that the road/trail bends to the west as it leaves Howard Creek and begins to follow Limber Pole Creek. This whole stretch of the 2 creeks had several small waterfalls that deserve more attention. All were in full sun and we would of had to wade to get good views, so we'll be back. Bernie's going to plot us another route in via the parking area marked as Howard Creek Trail on that map.
