For those who don't know, Whitewater Falls is 411' high - the tallest in North Carolina. This zooms in on the top section and some of the trees to give you an idea of the hardwood trees that sill have to go through the fall color change. If Mother Nature cooperates, there should still be peak color around the waterfall for another week. It was now 2PM and I still wanted to hike to the Horsepasture River, so I headed back to my vehicle and back up 281 to Gorges State Park.
