By now the sun was creeping into the tops of the trees and I was losing interest fast. I stopped a couple of other times, but didn't take any pictures. Once back in Gatlinburg and now that the sun was up, I was seeing mostly green leaves. Good news for those planning a trip for next week to this area. I had thought about stopping in the Porters Creek area on the way back, but all the green changed my mind. Might try the Parkway north of Asheville tomorrow...
