Harry was reporting some peak color up his way, so I headed up there for the week end. Heading up to the Parkway around Pisgah Inn I found good color, but not peak - still quite a bit of green with a lot of peak trees mixed in. Some early turners have lost their leaves. I took Hwy 276 south towards Brevard to run some errands, but made a couple of stops along the way. 276 looked similar to the Parkway. I stopped at Sliding Rock, but there was nothing in the background with color. A lot of the leaves around the falls were gone. Just down the road at Pink Beds was very colorful, so I pulled in.
