We had decided to head into the Devil's Fork finger of the lake to see if there were waterfalls at the points where Bad Creek and Howard Creek enter the lake. Jocassee is a beautiful lake, but if the winds start whipping, the lake gets very choppy. Probably not a good thing in an inflatable. Our plan was to stick close to the shoreline.
