It was the winter of 1971. We were sick of being cooped-up indoors. Major O'Connor was our new Commander. He, MSgt Parsons, our NCOIC of Radar Maintenance, and I decided to take our squadron snowmobile for a spin. That winter we hadn't yet taken it out of storage.
