Richard Garwin passed away today (5/15/25) shortly after his 97th birthday.
Dick Garwin was one America's most outstanding scientists. He was a member
of all three National Academies (Science, Engineering, and Medicine.
He was an advisor to several U.S. Presidents.
Here, he is seated next to Nobelist T.D.Lee, who was a fellow student
of Enrico Fermi at the University of Chicago.
It was an honor to be able to work with Dick over the past 20 years.
