Smoke could be seen for more than 20 miles as fire crews from the Fairmount Fire Protection District, Arvada Fire Department and Golden Fire Department respond to a three-alarm fire in the Fairmount area.
Two firemen use a double hose from the cherry picker in a defensive move to contain the blaze. They are dumping nearly 1500 gallons of water a minute on the fire.
The fire was isolated to a single house that was a total loss. No injuries were reported.
