102 years after Brunell's rail bridge, the road bridge was built. They stand side by side and the old ferry is no more. There's another crossing by ferry further downstream at Tor Point

The fact that a road bridge was not built until 1961 demonstrates the power the railways then had. Can it cope with the traffic in 2008?
