Jan 23: Back on the floor

OK, so I can't take photographs unless 'the floor' is the background...

These are Linda's. Mostly. They've been hiding in various boxes and cupboards for a loooonnnngggg time, but recently surfaced when Barry the plumber need to put a pipe through their latest home. So I chucked 'em on 'the floor' and snapped away.

Thing is, I never really liked cassette tape. I refused to buy pre-recorded one as they were garbage, but it was the only way to hear music on the move. So I'd buy LPs then record them on tape to lsten to in the car or walkman. Of course, I never taped any of my friends albums... ;-)

Oh, man, this brings back memories. And TDK, to boot. I was always using either that or Maxell. My preference was for metal tape, and I had a Yamaha deck that had DBX noise reduction... Great sound, but all gone now. I still have some casettes, mostly jam stuff with a buddy, and quite a few DAT's...

My car has a tape player too, I use a cassette to play my iPod thru the stereo...

My sister was queen of the "cassingle" THAT was just horrible....

I remember all the old tape labels; TDK, BASF, DM....
