Roll 23: Boatyard at Polruan

Something slightly different – a scan of a 10x8. I usually scan the negs, but this but my film scanner didn't like this picture of Polruan boatyard. It came out very gritty for some reason. So I made a 10x8 print in my new darkroom (yay!) and scanned that on the flatbed. Much better. So as I was saying, Polruan boatyard. Looks like it hasn't changed for a century. How many places like this have been closed down and turned into holiday apartments, amusement arcades or Freddy's Family Fish Restaurants?

Technical stuff: Neopan 400 in Rodinal 1+50 for 11 minutes. Printed on Ilford Multigrade IV Satin developed in Fotospeed DV10.

I love this, the texture, grain and multiple patterns are killer.

Very nice, David. As always, your blacks are excellent, the 'V' of the dock draws your eye right up the picture...

Excellent work David. And it looks like you are having great fun using the older technology.
