Sep 9: Lurk no more

So, we've moved house. This is the Lurker in it's new home. At the side of the road opposite the cottage. Driving the car the 200 miles west today is the longest journey I've done in the car yet. It didn't miss a beat. As a complete contrast, I also took a ride this afternoon in Linda's parents car. Where the VW is basic in the extreme, their modern Renault is full of electronic gagetry. "depress clutch pedal and push start" it flashes on the electronic display. Quite what's wrong with turning a good old fashioned key in the ignition I don't know. Modern cars? Too complicated!!

She looks good in the rain. The mono works well.
I love the old bugs. Whenever I'm tempted by one, I think of 115deg days with no air...and I get over it.

Welcome to your new home David, and it looks like your wonderful baby did just fine. It is good to see it in the "full" ... or at least 1/2 full ;-). The rain (which I would guess you had no choice about) make for a nice moody emphasis.
A great to celebrate the beginning of your new "life."

Another good one! It's usually hard to avoid your own reflection in the bumper but this one works well!
