Mar 29: Portrait of red

I'm not entirely happy with this picture. I was just getting into the shoot when dinner was ready. The next thing I knew, the wine bottle was empty. What would I do differently? Frame it better. Probably loose the bottle top to put the emphasis on the curve into the neck, then line the centre of the bottle on the 1/3 line. Concentrate DM!

I agree with others that the red top in this adds a lot.

I agree with Mark, I love the deep blacks you get, DM. I agree with you on the 1/3 line. Funny how the bottle emptied itself, though. Very peculiar...

I like what you did a great deal. The curve is so nicely accented on the left side... actually SEXY

Nicely lit to show off the curve of the bottle...Cheers!

I like the red top. I should give this style a try soon. I like your deep blacks and how the shadow appears abruptly but the highlights don't appear blown.

Bust it open! smash it? (after you drink it of urse!)

Reminds me I have a coke bottle to smash, a colander to shoot! Thanks DM, just got 2 ideas for today!

errr - I've just walked past this shot and the bottle is still there - full!!! I like it (the wine and the bottle shot)
