Mar 27:Tragedy averted

This is DM News, reporting from a muddy forest in Cornwall: "Tragedy was averted today when Lucy’s doll’s foot, that was thought to have been lost in the mud, was later found intact by her heroic Dad, Alan. The foot was noticed to be missing after Lucy fell headlong into the gloop whilst chasing dogs, Archie, Rosie and Maddie along a track in the Cornish forest. Despite frantic efforts, a search at the scene failed to find the missing foot, and Lucy was consumed by grief. Offers to supply a replacement doll were met with wails of “But I don’t want another doll” from a tearful Lucy. But minutes later, the missing foot was found, several hundred yards back along the track by SuperDad, Alan who’d had hunch that the foot never made it as far as the mud. Here we see Lucy: The nightmare is over, as are the tears, and relief begins to spread across her still muddy face."

Yet another example of why it's so important to have your camera every at the ready. This precious moment would have lived on only in your mind instead of our being able to share it. This is just a wonderful picture, David.

From one who was there - note that this tragedy was similar in scale to this little girl to the end of the world for the rest of us!
