This is looking west into the late afternoon sun at Bedruthan Steps on the north coast. I tried a similar shot from the same place 4 years ago on B&W film, but my camera's 'evaluative' metering system clearly had a different image in mind than I did. 4 years later, I get MY shot! Someone has clearly been praying to the surf gods this week, as we saw set after set of clean 5' waves rolling in under a perfect blue sky. Best conditions I've ever seen in the UK, not that I've been anywhere near a surfboard in years...
