Sep 11: Apples

I decided to try a bit harder with my picture today. And yes, it's colour! These are from one of one of several apple trees in the garden. We don't eat apples, and even if we did, we'd have to eat dozens a day just to keep pace with the trees... So they just lie around on the ground rotting and attracting wasps. While Linda cleaned out the hen house, I collected up all the smelly mushy windfalls, bagged them up and trew them out. I couldn't bring any of them in to photograph... so these ones were cut fresh from the tree.

This is such a wonderful shot -- simple with great light.

Amazing as always how you go from excellent b&w to excellent color images. Very well done, David. Composition is perfect as if the spray of branch and apples are being extended to the viewer.

You and Linda don't like apple pie? or apple crisp? or.. um.. apple dumplings?
yummy
