Scruffy dove

I had another picture all ready for PotD when this happened. A very tatty collared dove (we have a flock of 30 or so that visit the garden) landed on the bird table just as I walked past with a camera in my hand. They're usually very timid and disappear if you even dare approach the window. I think this guy's been 'got at' by something, and doesn't look too well. Still, it could have been worse...

Wow, this is beautiful. You handled the depth of field like a pro. The bird is perfectly in focus and the background is beautifuly blurred. Nice!

The 300D has arrived then? You can immediately tell the difference with the depth of field control over the fixed lens G2 at range.

That's a great shot. He has a little pot-belly and a great expression. Nice sharp focus. I really like it
